Good News for Dymchurch!

Today the Environment Agency has announced how it proposes to allocate  over £85 million to reduce the risk of flood and coastal erosion in Southern England over the next financial year.

High Knocke to Dymchurch Sea Defences - Frontage A Update

Work on this frontage  is progressing well and  still running to schedule. Newsletter No. 6 concerning this frontage  has just been released by the Environment Agency  and contains an update on what has been happening.

Environment Agency Newsletter No.2- Broomhill Sands

This is the second newsletter issued by the Environment Agency regarding the Broomhill Sands Sea Defence scheme. DOC has been given sight of the EA’s  response to Defra’s Consultation on Coastal Change Policy in which the EA states:-

High Knocke to Dymchurch Sea Defences Frontage A

Work Update  - 30 September 2009

The Environment Agency has advised DOC that they will be closing the main slipway in Dymchurch for refurbishment; week commencing Monday 5 October 2009.

EA Safety Advice to all beach users during ground investigation works at Broomhill Sands

DOC has received the following safety advice from the Environment Agency concerning the ground investigation works at Broomhill Sands which commenced this week.
