DOC links nationally with other Coastal Groups
DOC formed part of a delegation from Coastal Action Groups in the Southeast of England (Selsey, Seasalter) who had been invited to join the 10 Year Anniversary Celebrations of the CCAG in Happisburgh, Norfolk, on 1 May 2009 in order to celebrate their long running campaign for adequate sea defences.
Norfolk’s MP Norman Lamb , North Norfolk District Councillors and various other Local Representatives joined the event . The meeting took place in St Mary’s Church of Happisburgh and was attended by hundreds of local residents.
It presented an excellent opportunity to link hands nationally and to exchange valuable information in our joint desire to secure adequate sea defences for our own local areas.
DOC has strong links with the CCAG whose Coordinator Malcolm Kerby is DOC’s Honorary Consultant. His expertise continues to be of great benefit to our organisation.
