DOC AGM- 27.3.2009
DOC is delighted to report that its first AGM was held at the Guild Hall in Lydd . Members and Councillors from across the Marsh attended. The meeting was opened by our Chairman Terry Preston, followed by an excellent and very informative presentation by Mrs Boxhall, Curator of the Lydd Museum , concerning the fishing and lifeboat history of the Marsh.
After summarising reports were received from the Chairman, Treasurer and Media Officer, previously serving Officers from the Executive Committee were re-elected for the coming year . Additional Councillors from various constituent authorities on the Marsh were also elected onto the Executive Committee .
DOC would like to thank all its members and supporters for their loyal support and generous contributions during the past year . There is much to be done to secure adequate sea defences for the Marsh and DOC is committed to ensure a satisfactory outcome.
Minutes of the AGM will shortly be published on our website.
